FAQs

Is the Gypsum Mold Kit beginner friendly?

Absolutely. You don’t need any previous experience with gypsum or mold making. The process is simply mixing, pouring, waiting and unmolding.

What do I need to get started?

Just water. The kit includes the gypsum, silicone molds, pigments, measuring cups, mixing sticks, measuring spoon and gloves you need to start creating.

Which mold is included in the kit?

The included molds are designed to create a circular coaster set, including the coaster molds and holder mold. Only the circular coaster molds are included with this kit.

How much water should I add?

Use a ratio of 3 parts gypsum to 1 part water. Mix until the consistency is smooth before pouring it into the mold.

How long does it take before I can unmold my coasters?

For best results, wait around 45–60 minutes before gently removing your creation from the silicone mold.

What colors are included?

The kit includes two mica pigments - blue and red. You can also leave the gypsum natural if you prefer a clean, minimal look.

How can I create different finishes?

Fully mix the pigment for a smooth, even color, or stir it in lightly to create subtle streaks and swirls. You can also leave the gypsum natural for a clean, minimal finish.

Are the kits suitable for gifting?

Definitely. Our kits aren't just something to unwrap - they're an experience. They're a great way to give someone a new hobby, some creative time for themselves, and something they can be proud to say, “I made this.”
